SYMC's Amazing Volunteer Bios

Awed has been an SYMC staff member since April 2004. She serves as an SYMC moderator, writes or edits publicity material, and advises Penny on communications issues. Although Awed has only been advising couples on marital crises for the past year, she's worked in the communications field for over 20 years, specializes in conflict situations in the workplace and has recently completed a post-graduate degree in conflict resolution.
Awed comes to SYMC after experiencing a marital crisis of infidelity and reconciliation with her husband. She's been married for 16 years and has no children (but several dogs). Awed's expertise in conflict resolution and communications makes her particularly passionate about helping people learn about themselves first and foremost, to equip people with skills they can use in their everyday lives.

Robin Husband became a vital member of the  SYMC Village when it was still only a glint in Penny's eye. Coming in on the ground floor, she was able to contribute to the look and direction of SYMC and is one of the founding members.

Robin brings her enviable talents and experience as an artist and designed logos for Marriage Fidelity Day, the School of Coaching, and the visionary Email Intermediarly program. Robin is active in the School of Coaching both as a student and a teacher and is looking forward to marriage coaching as her future career. She is a dedicated and caring mentor, moderator, and mediator.

Robins' marriage spans 23 years and four continents. Her quest to recapture the happiness in her marriage began five years ago when the strains of frequent moving and living in unstable foreign countries created huge challenges for her marriage and family. Her journey to educate herself about marriage and recovery gave her the tools to heal her own marriage and the desire to share the experience with others as a marriage advocate and coach.

Rich Hunt (Sleepy_SYMC) has been an SYMC staff member since October 2005. He serves as a moderator. Richard has been working with SYMC's principles since Sept of 2004 and has been a member of the Village Gathering since November of 2004.
Richard has worked in the same industry for nearly twenty years and owns and operates a small structural repair and pest control.
Richard is married and has been with his wife since 1997. Richard and his wife were blessed with a daughter in the same year and a son four years later. Richard and his wife were born in the California Bay Area and still reside there today.
Richard and his wife's marriage suffered the tragedy of infidelity on Richard's part in mid to late 2004. After the discovery of the affair Richard immediately made the ethical choice to return to his marriage and his children. After entering both individual and marriage counseling without completet success, Richard found SYMC and settled into learning the SYMC principles and applying them in his marriage. He finally found his online home and healing, both personal and marital began in earnest.
In June 2005 Richard and his wife renewed their marriage vows. Through compassion and understanding of each other and with the help of their new friends at SYMC their marriage has flourished and real healing is well underway. Rich gives much credit to his wonderful wife for being forgiving, having compassion, and willingness to work hard toward their marital goals. Richard loves all aspects of SYMC and is most passionate about helping the wayward partner find his or her way home to marriage, family, and healing.

Judith Liebart has been an SYMC staff member since early 2004. She serves as a moderator on the eMarriage bulletin board. Judith has been working with SYMC's princples since March 2004.  Judith left her marital home in the spring of 1998, and due to what then seemed irreconcilable differences divorced in 2000. She married Steve in 2002. Since joining SYMC Judith believes her 22 year first marriage was far from irrecondilable. She wishes she'd had the knowledge to understand taht both she and her ex husband were acting from their individual core hurts. had they both begun their attempts to save the marriage by first healing from within they couldhave then reached out with compasion to on another to begin the work of healing their marriage.
Judith would like everyone who reads this to know taht divorce is not the easy solutin and that most often it just causes different (and more) hurt for everyone involved. It is painful for her current husband to know how much she regrets her divorce because of the damage inflicted on her children. Together they work to create a safe and secure future for all of them - in spite of the difficulties inherent in second families.  Judith hopes her work with SYMC can help in some way to spare others the same pain.
